Landall Proctor

The Basics
Name: Landall Proctor
Hometown: That’s debatable.
Cycling Hero: The bottle fetchers.
Favorite Professional Race: Tour of Flanders.
Standard or Compact Chain Rings: Obviously compact. Have you seen my tiny little legs?
Biggest goal for 2012? Personal: Break 40 minutes up Wintergreen. Team: Cover moves. Chase down breaks. Turn myself inside out for whoever the guy is that day.

The Interesting Stuff

Favorite Workout? 20/40s up Tunnel Road outside of Oakland, CA. I miss that climb!

If we had the budget to make rider cards, which we don’t, what animal would you pick that best describes your riding style? A yak loaded down with anything Mike Kirby may need but doesn’t want to carry himself.

What was your first real bike? Redline 220. A bmx bike that I bought from chore money when I was in 6th grade. Best bike I’ve ever owned.

What is your ftp? f(x) = (4x-2bc)^1/2/(3n+log5x)-.2 where x is not geometrically constant.

Favorite thing about racing for such an awesome and successful team? We actually like each other, which in my experience is a pretty novel concept for bike racing.

Favorite time to aimlessly attack the coffee shop ride? After following the wheels on the small roller after the descent when everybody else is tired.

If Mike Kirby flats in the middle of a race, what do you do? Sprint to the front of the group and demand the race be neutralized until he gets back on.

Favorite in ride nutrition? Snickers bars in the winter since they don’t melt in your pocket. My wife makes some pretty great energy bars that I really like as well.

Besides giving Mike Kirby your wheel when he flats, what are you looking forward to most in the 2012 season? Sheltering him from the wind and bringing him bottles when he’s thirsty.
